Validation
A modelling tool can claim anything about MODFLOW. What it cannot fake is a list of published models, written by other people, that it opens, writes back and runs. These are the models GWlink is tested against: the MODFLOW 6 example suite, FloPy's own test models and the GMDSI tutorials, each linked to where it came from.

What this proves, and what it does not
Each model is imported, written back out and run, and the run is expected to converge. That is a strong check on the file layer: it catches a package silently dropped, an array reshaped, a stress period lost. It is not a claim that GWlink reproduces every published result to the last decimal, and it says nothing about whether your own model is a good model. It says the software gives you back what you gave it.
Where a package is only carried through rather than interpreted, the specifications say so package by package.
30 models in the suite, 21 of them published by others, 30 expected to converge.
If you have a model that ought to be on this list, it is worth saying so when you write.
